Hello! and welcome! I am your chef. I love to cook, I love to cook with others and I love to share my knowledge. For over ten years I sailed around the world working as a high end personal chef on luxury sailing yachts. I have a passion for food and have had the pleasure of travelling to many different countries seeing the assortment of flavours and variations of dishes that have enabled me to pick up flavour combinations and skills from people around the world.

As a luxury yacht chef you need to be able to cook a wide variety of food… pretty much whatever the guests ask for you need to magically make it appear from the galley ;-) I loved this challenge and it enabled me to discover and master a wide variety of cuisines!

Wherever we dropped anchor I would hunt for fresh ideas -the foods at the market, the fellow yacht cheffies, the local chefs and homes. Part of my on-going training has included an intensive course at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners (ICIF) in the Piemonte region of Italy and sushi classes at the Japanese Institute in LA.

I have since settled on land and am now enjoying bringing people together through my fun, interactive cooking classes. Be it a public class, team building or a private party.

I started with adhoc classes in people's homes and at a cookery school. When COVID happened I pivoted to online cooking classes and Cooking With Jinny was born. It was a special time to bring people together. - Friends and family from around the world or strangers that needed some connection and structure.

I am passionate about being as waste free as possible, and strive to avoid single use plastic . (A sail through the pacific gyro garbage patch had a big influence on me).

Our lives are super busy, and often we don't have time to be mindful in our cooking, making sure to eat well and healthily. I love that I create a space for this, to have fun with food, to inspire, to connect people and make delicious food. I try to make my recipes flexible - providing a new base and skill set that you can then go away feeling confident to adapt, change and be creative with.
